Opened Business in Nica

So first off forgive me for not posting here this year but I have been extremely busy.  I opened up my first business in Nicaragua and I feel like I could write a book everyday.  Not nearly as easy as I had thought and or hoped. With that being said there are many things that are easy compared to the US.  I have opened up a few businesses in the United States and there is much more red tape there than here.
I can talk about several things here from taxes to bank accounts but essentially the main ingredient is patience.  This place has taught me to be a patient person for sure.  Also has catapulted my Spanish speaking abilities.
First thing you will need to do is partner with a Nicaraguan.  This will allow you to move through the system much easier and he or she can find out exactly what you will need to do.  The computer system here is nonexistent so you might need to pay tax bills twice etc. I do this kind of stuff all the time.
Let's talk about money and payroll. This by far has amazed me the most. People here don't consider money to be God.  They will work for you but it's not money driven or based.  For example in America if you work in Texas and get a job offer in Seattle for more money you would pick up and move without question. If you were making $150k and were offered $250k, there is really nothing to talk about except what neighborhood do most of the employees live in. Here I can travel to one city and offer twice or even three times the money a worker is making and they don't want to move.  Imagine making $50k and someone walks into your work tomorrow and offers you $150k with a paid for apartment in a happening city with food & drink included.  They say "thanks but no thanks" I get this all the time.
In the US or Europe if you don't pay the mortgage you are put out on the streets.  Here that's not how it works. Family steps in here and helps in every way possible and having no money is just part of the culture.
I'm not speaking from a single city in the middle of the country, I travel all around this country on a weekly basis. From Grenada to Estili every single month. I have friends and contacts up in the mountains of Jinotega and on the beaches in Poneloya. The vibe I speak of is prevalent all over the country and not just in one area.
